Hackers on Film

When the media started to become more fascinated with "hackers" to the point it was common in your local paper to read of some nasty doings of your local deviant or having a web page was not a major coupe, we started seeing more and more films having so called "hacking" scenes in them.  Being a film enthusiast I decided to do some searching and compile a list of films that had either hacking and phreaking undertones or a scene that had some aspect of H/P in it. Now we could easily compile the list and find that it was endless. Where do we draw the line and under what criteria do we hold these films with?

Defining Hacking and Phreaking to narrowing the list was number one in the process.  Hack as in cab driver is not an acceptable criteria for adding the film to the list.  Performing some form of Toll Fraud could meet the criteria but under what process?  Using a stolen credit card is not but port-o-hacking a pay phone and Blue Boxing around the world is. Coding a program to do some additional functions to your advantage is.  Circumventing a computer security system is.  RF Hacking as in Amateur Radio is but I'm going to save that for a bit. So.

Criteria v1.0

1. Film with Scene or Plot that has some aspect of hacking or phreaking.
2. Usage of Computer(s) and software in a way that creates an ends to a mean.
3. Usage of Telecommunication(s) in a way that creates an ends to a mean.
