The Terrorist Mind of Ariel Sharon:
On August 13, 1982, Israeli F-16 pilots were ordered by Ariel Sharon to destroy the 18 floors of the Aker building in Beirut. Sharon thought that President Arafat and the PLO leadership were having a meeting in the basement of the building (a skyscraper in Middle Eastern terms). The F-16s turned the 18-story building into rubble. 485 men, women and children were killed.
Arafat and the PLO leadership were not there. In fact, they had never even been there. The building was inhabited by Christian Palestinians who had to move out of Dibayah refugee camp that had been ransacked by Lebanese Phalangists (Sharon's allies) after having been dispossessed by force from their homes and towns in Palestine in 1948. (Itsel, the terrorist Jewish organization led by Sharon, forced the Christian Palestinians out of their villages and towns in Palestine to Lebanon in 1948).
