DNA Studies
Scientists in Italy have done DNA mapping that shows huge differences between the races. *The History and Geography of Human Genes*, by Cavalli-Sforza, Menozzi, and Piazza, Princeton University Press (1994). They measured 42 population groups.
On the Cavalli-Sforza scale, here is the genetic distance between some groups.
English and Danes.......................21,
English and German....................22,
English and French......................24,
English and Italians......................51,
English and Greeks....................204,
English and N. Amerindians.......947,
English and Chinese.................1152,
English and Japanese...............1244,
English and Bantus...................2288,
Mbuti pygmies (Africa) and
Australia aborigines.................4573 (greatest).
The nationalities within racial groups are clustered together. For instance, the differences within West African Negro populations (where most American blacks came from) is 157. Between the Bantu groups (including the Zulus and Mandela's tribe), it is 211. Note that the biggest difference within the European groups was 183 (204 - 21 = 183) and the distance between Chinese and Japanese is only 92. The N. American Indian is closely related to Orientals confirming physical anthropologists' previous conclusions reached on the basis of studying physical differences.
