Mark Horwitz, the Jewish manager of the Starbucks store,
said Melvyn Taylor was a quiet and well-mannered man who was a fixture
at the coffee shop. "Lots of college students used to chat with him. He
was very friendly, very warm-hearted. People in town would buy him a
Starbucks gift card and he won $40 on a single-dollar lottery ticket. He
was a paying customer," Horwitz said.

I can just see Abe Colonstein, a $500k NY stock broker sitting around
his Starbucks kibitzing with a wino. I doubt Abe would stop if he hit
this poor bastard with his SUV. In the meantime 2 US marines were killed
by a car bomb, but that's page four.
This is just a expensive publicity agent keeping Starbucks in the news.
