Thursday morning, Gov. Steve Beshear signed the "Ernie Marx Holocaust Education Bill" into law.The bill signing took place at St. Francis of Assisi School, 1938 Alfresco Place, just off Bardstown Road. It requires all Kentucky students to leaned about the Holocaust.

"I think the lesson on politics is that it's hard and you just have to keep pushing and pushing and tell everyone what you truly believe and that's the only way to get them to listen to you," said Rebecca Clements, a St. Francis of Assisi student.

The law is named for Ernie Marx who escaped a concentration camp. Marx died in 2007, but prior to his death he worked alongside the students trying to get this bill passed.
