Little Michelle found dead after three-day search
 
The search for missing eight-year-old girl Michelle ended in tragedy on Thursday when  Michelle’s body was found on the bank of the pond, partially submerged in the water with her face turned down.

Police had been searching for the girl for three days. Now, the hunt is over but not with the happy ending all had been hoping for. Michelle’s body was found in a small pond 1.7km away from her parent’s home. The shocking result of the autopsy was announced at 9pm, confirming that Michelle had been murdered and sexually ravaged. 6

 

   

 

 

 

 

 

200 Police Search For The Child

The police received the news at 12:30pm yesterday, when a member of the public reported finding a child’s body in a pond in Leipzig’s Stotteritzer Forest nature reserve. A quarter of an hour later, police roped off a 150 square meter area around the site where the body was found. A murder investigation and body identification team scoured the area with the help of police dogs.

At 4:51pm, the tragic news was confirmed - the body was Michelle’s. Poilce spokesman Andreas de Parade said: “Based on the clothing and her appearance, we are sure it is Michelle.”

Charlotte Knobloch, president of Germany's national council of Jews, said on MDR Info radio: "These people would trick the devil himself to help them to their ends. For them, nothing is sacred."
