One year at Mauthausen, another year at Ebenesee, and finally five years at Auschwitz. He was sent to the gas chambers five times, but was always pulled out of line, because Nazis needed him as an electrician. 7

In 1942 the Germans were fighting Russians, but they decided to take out time to comb the remote countryside of Latvia for Izzie Brinkman. Now Izzie spends 2 yrs in the Lodz ghetto, 1 yr at Mauthausen, 1 year at Ebensee, and finally 5 years at Auschwitz.
