Ah! Learning who the judge was who ruled the Kalpoe brothers are once
again free and that the prosecution doesn't have enough evidence to hold
them explains a lot. It's funny that yesterday no one seemed to know the
judge's name.
Today that judge is rumored to be
Rick Smid
of Curacao (Aruba says they got the judge from Curacao so there
would be no conflict of interest),
the same judge who previously released the three thugs in August 2005 and
is rumored to have worked with Paulus
van derSloot
in the Dutch
judiciary. (anyone smell conflict of interest?)
In August 2005 as the case was still under investigation by the Arubans,
it's been said the Judge Rick
Smid
stayed at the home of
Paulus van derSloot. (need we
remind anyone that Paulus is the father of chief suspect Joran van der
Sloot?). He ruled that the three thugs could continue to be held and then
faxed a reversal to that decision after he returned to Curacao.
Speculation: Was this after he received a bank transfer from Paulus?
Just goes to show that even if there is a clean prosecutor and head of the
investigation, there are still many dirty politicians with direct ties to
the suspects that are most interested in seeing them walk.
The same judge who released van der Sloot two years ago,
RickSmid
a known colleague of Paulus
van derSloot (Joran's father),
still sits on the case and is responsible for the latest release of van der
Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers. Aruba has show all along that they have no
problem with judges or investigators with conflict of interests. The first
investigator on the case was reportedly Joran's Godfather, the second
investigator was reportedly related to the Kalpoe brothers as was at least one
of the Aruban reporters.

PROSECUTION
In a hearing on June 1, 2005 Dutch
judge Rick Smid
ruled there was sufficient evidence to keep Joran
van derSloot
in detention for an additional 30 days. Then in a baffling move, he
flies back to Curacao and faxes in a reversal of the ruling he’d made only a
few hours earlier, freeing van der Sloot from jail. Within three days Joran
van der Sloot was on an airplane for Holland, and to make sure van der Sloot
would never face prosecution, the judges gave Joran and the Kalpoe brothers
immunity from ever being questioned again about this case.

In essence, there were many differences in the three suspects’ stories which
would indicate one or more of them were guilty of the disappearance of Natalee
Holloway, but Judge Smid chose to ignore these
discrepancies. He also used an obscure
ruling from the Ponson
case that stated Joran’seduction
was of utmost importance—moreso
than the murder investigation—which allowed Joran
to flee the island and opened the door for the judges from Curacao to
land the final blow on the case by lifting all restrictions against the main
suspects.
In another move on behalf of Paulus van der Sloot and his son Joran, at the
end of July, 2005 Judge Rick Smid
ordered the DNA taken from the three main suspects destroyed. Joran van
der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers remain the three main suspects to this day,
with Joran being considered the prime suspect.
Based upon the Skeeter tapes, aired on Dr. Phil, Beth feels that the three
suspects should be re-arrested. Although, Beth contends that just acquiring the
Skeeter tapes is not enough, but that the Aruban authorities must also use the
tapes and not misplace or lose them.
Beth accused Judge Smit
of old boy favoritism in releasing the suspects, including PaulusvanderSloot.

Judge has even released his decision!! Sorry to ruin your morning monkeys but it
appears the VanDerSloot's good friend Judge
Smid already told them
his decision a day before everyone else.

we have a conflict of law and we have an appeal of the discovery order. i
think the kalpoe attormeys have a little fight left in them. the kalpoes
petitioned the Aruban court to let them comply with the discovery but were
denied (Judge Smid
again, is he the one who spent the night at the vdS
residence?).
At the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force in 1997 - Rick Smid
(now Judge Smid)
was the expert on Money Laundering in the Casino & Gaming Industry!!! See
reference below. I found this many months ago and wondered if
Judge Smid now heads up
the illegal money laundering operations in the Caribbean. It makes sense to me
that an expert on money laundering could decide to go to the "dark side" as he
would know all the ins & outs and how to avoid the law.
This was allegedly Karin Janssen's area of expertise as well, prior to her
leaving The Netherlands for
Aruba. I have often wondered if there was a connection between her and
Judge Smid in this regard
and if they knew each other prior to coming to the islands.
Was the idea for these two to prosecute cases of money-mishandling or
participate in them? Odd that they both would have that particular area of
knowledge.
The Dutch
judges from Curacao also share culpability in ignoring these statements by the
three suspects. One in particular was
Judge Robert “Bob” Smid who is reported to be a friend of Paulus Van Der Sloot,
and had even stayed at his home while visiting the island. On August 30,
2005 Judge Smid issued a ruling that Joran should be held another 30 days, flew
back to Curacao and immediately faxed in a reversal of his ruling. Two and a
half weeks later Joran Van Der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers were all released
from giving further testimony in the case.
Paulus and his black
robed buddies had made Paulus
and his property untouchable through adding layers to the legal onion.
Karin Janssen writes a letter stating
there is no evidence against Paulus
and he is no longer a suspect.
Judge Smid
writes an order using Karin’s letter to declare Paulus
no longer a suspect.
Judges then award Paulus
$30,000 for his trouble — further adding a layer to the onion.
Aruba tells us Paulus
and his property is untouchable.
Now, a bunch of Dutch cowboys come to
the island and are suddenly granted full access to poke around with sticks???
Paulus
shows up in the morning and does not protest??? Paulus
does not file in court because these cowboys are violating ‘Dutch law’?
It seems to me that the only way to
gain access to the property in the matter that the Dutch cowboys have, is to 1)
reverse all legal layers of the onion and once again make Paulus
a suspect (he clearly is a suspect after the last legal ruling stating his
timeline was FUBAR
for that evening); or 2) Paulus,
after cleaning - and luminol
testing himself - the place for two straight years invited them onto the
property to end all doubts.
So, what is it Aruba….is Paulus
a suspect again and the Dutch Cowboys spent the last week reversing decisions?
Or is Paulus
staging the final episode in the cover-up?
Sorry about the distrust Aruba…but
just by the fact alone that you are doing a search that clearly should have been
done two years ago….you have more than earned it.
Monday, 3 Beth Twitty Interrogated in Aruba!
Beth Holloway Twitty arrived in Aruba to meet with the prosecutor about the
reported new evidence which caused the Kalpoe brothers and Joran van der Sloot
to be rearrested. The Kalpoe brothers have since be released, but what is
absolutely unbelievable is the report that after Beth met with the Prosecutor,
she, the mother of the victim, was interrogated!
Here is a group of investigators that don't bother to interrogate three liars
who were last seen with Natalee the night she disappeared on May 30, 2005 for 10
days. The investigators who failed to ask absolutely obvious follow-up questions
when then interrogate the three prime suspects. The
investigators who had the Kalpoe
brothers in custody for 8 days this time around and didn't finish interrogating
them per Hans Mos;
and yet they interrogate Beth
Twitty for 5 hours? When
on earth will the degradation to the Holloway and Twitty families end? When will
the circus stop in Aruba and the 3 prime suspects pay for their crimes against
Natalee?

Show-host:… Joran van der Sloot. He still is the mainsuspect in the
disappearence-case of the American student Natalee Holloway. For the first
time he apollogises to the parents of the girl that dissapeared two years
ago at Aruba.
In his book “The Natalee
Holloway-case” the now 19 year old Joran
tells his version of what happened that evening on the beach of
Aruba. And also why he at first lied to the police.
Joran: I wrote the book… well
actualy
for myself… I don’t like psychologists… I don’t like psychiatrists…
I deal with my problems in a different way. And this is a sort of
treatment as well. To write down everything that happened… and so it gets
shared with others. This has been a sort of therapy for me.
HvN: But what do you want with it?
Joran: Uhmm.. Well… To let people that are interested see my side of the
story.
Voice over: Joran apologises in the book to the family of Natalee because
he lied about what excactly happened after he was arrested.
In his first statement he toled
the police that he
delevered the girl at her
hotel. Later he told that he’d left her at the beach.
Joran: Yes… I… Uhhh… Excuses…. Uhhh… Yes… That I lied… Excuses that… Uhh…
Yes… That I left their doughter alone there… Those excuses… But… Yes… I
found that… Uhhh… At their place.
HvN: Does that eat on you.
Joran: Yes, yes.., yes.
Voice over: Natalee Holloway’s mother this evening said she was shocked
that Joran wrote a book about the dissappearence of her daughter. But she
wouldn’t say more on that before she’s read it.
Show-host: And the dissappearence of Natalee Holloway has caused quite a
stirr the last couple of years. Joran was almost immediatly pointed to as
a suspect. In his book he discribes what impact that has on his daily
life.
Joran reads from his book: As I write this I’m still the suspect in the
Natalee Holloway-case. I hope that once it will become clear what has
happened to her, how terribly it may turn out to be. Only then I will be
rehabillitated, only then I can truly go on with my life.

Joran is imaged as a monster.
Joran from his book: They have tried to image to viewers, listeners and
readers that I would be an arrant-liar, a monster, a gang-rapist. I would
collaborate with my corrupt father and make use of his good contacts.
Show-host: Yes, so Joran until today denies all accusations. But it is a
fact that he’s the last one who saw Natalee alive. And the question
remains what exactly happened on the night she dissapeared. And if Joran
didn’t do it.., who did. We asked Joran himself. Joran:
I too was always impressed that she wanted to have sex with me.
And… I wanted that too. And uhhh… When it came to it I didn’t have a
condom with me and I uhhh in fact… Well then it was in fact end of party.
Voice over: In his book Joran discribes to the detail the last moments he
spents with Natalee. According to Joran Natalee wants to stay at the beach
after their love-affair to see the stars.
But Joran
doesn’t like that, walks of the beach and sees his friend Satish.
Joran from his book: I see Satish sit in the car and open the door. “What
are you doing?” he asks. I: “She doesn’t want to go to the hotel.”
Satish:
“Fok die bitch” (”Fuck that bitch”.) - that means something like:
Let her go. I get in the car without telling Natalee that we leave and we
drive away.
Joran: I want to do that over. I did ask her if she wanted to go back to
her hotel and she didn’t want that. And in the end I should have thrown
her over my back and just take her back to her hotelroom and throw her on
the bed. So that she could have stayed there. Then this all wouldn’t have
happened.
Voice over: So Joran at first hid that he’d left her at the beach. Lies he
says now, to spare his girlfriend and his parents. Lying is easy for him
he says. (???!!!???)
Joran: It was an easy way to go around problems.
HvN: So you did that often in general.
Joran: Yes I did that in general as well. Yes uhhh… I now try to do that
no longer (???!!!???) but now I find myself sometimes as well… And then I
think “Shit, why did I say that… That’s absolutely not true…”
Voice over: Whatever… For the parents of Natalee there’s only one person
responsible for the disappearence of their daughter: Joran! Joran says he
can understand that.
Joran: If someone I love would be missing… And the guy who would be with
her the last… I wouldn’t know what I would do to that person.

HvN: Why do you believe that?
Joran: Yes uhhh… In the end uhhh… Somebody must know more…. Somebody must
know something… And you can’t live your whole life with that… That I know
for sure.
