Richard Earley attends a speech by Carol Swain at
Swarthmore College and disrupted the atmosphere somewhat. He brazenly called Jews of
America "cowards" and dishonorable. Astonishingly he received no catcalls.
Earley pointed out that Swarthmore College was founded in 1863, the year of
Gettysburg, and that students of that institution cared far more for evading wars and
having others shoulder the burdens and dangers. Still no catcalls.
He invited myself to speak at both Swarthmore and Vanderbilt where Swain teaches.
Two black women, both professors, and a young Chinese women, likewise, did not seem
fazed at my utterances. Let's all wish him luck.
His next stop is a debate with Larry Summers - the Jewish head of Harvard. |
