Lavon affair 1954

	Israeli agents working in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including a United States diplomatic facility, and left evidence behind implicating Arabs as the culprits. Some of the bombs went off prematurely and the Egyptians caught the Jews

	Israel plants spies in Libya that broadcast plans of a bombing of a bar ( LaBelle Disco) in Germany. The US intelligence service picks up the broadcasts and Ronald Reagan was tricked into bombing Libya.

USS Liberty ... 1967

Israel attacks US warship
In 1967 Israel attacked the USS Liberty, a ship off the Gaza , killing 24 and wounding 177. The intention was to have Pres Johnson reply with a Nuke on Cairo.

Lebanon 1979

Ambassador Dean
In order for Israel to justify the coming slaughter of 30,000 civilians in 1982 Beirut the Mossad attempted to assassinate an American Diplomat. This was to be a perfect crime.

Everything about it would point to Lebanon as the culprit.

But fate intervened, and things went wrong. The tires on Ambassador John Gunther Dean's limousine automatically reinflated when they were shot out in 1979 (see November 2002 Washington Report, p. 15). The light tank shell simply bounced off the car's armor.

The Lebanese intelligence found the smpty shell casing and traced it to Israel. Source
