Iranian Monsters Torture 'British Chippy'

IF anyone in the West was under an illusion over the type of people we have to deal with in Iran, the brutal video footage of kidnapped British servicewoman Faye Turney should put us right.

Of course, forcing women to wear a headscarf is par for the course in that godforsaken, backward hellhole of a country.

But making the clearly distressed young mother parade before the cameras under heaven knows what kind of duress just shows the level of depravity of which these uncivilized brutes are capable.

 

Anti War Activists Are Silent

And isn't it curious that this clear breach of the Geneva Convention has been greeted with a deafening silence by our normally vociferous human rights and "anti-war" activists?

Yet the degrading treatment of British hostages doesn't raise a peep. Don't Faye Turney and the rest of the British captives have human rights too?

 

A Madman

Iran's leader is the notorious racist and certifiable lunatic, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who wants to wipe Israel off the map and who believes that he will hasten the return of the Twelfth Imam, the Shia messiah, if he provokes an apocalypse.

In any civilised country, this man would be locked up receiving treatment in a secure mental hospital; in Iran, they made him president.

 
 

Try Diplomacy But Carry A Big Stick

Diplomatic efforts should continue, and countries in the region should be left in no doubt of the serious consequences if Iran refuses to free the Marines.

All Iranian assets and trade in the UK should be frozen and we should demand our EU and Nato partners do the same.

 

Marines Did Nothing Wrong

And let's not forget that the British Marines were operating under a United Nations mandate to prevent weapons being smuggled into Iraq for use in attacks against innocent civilians.

 

Get The Battleships Ready

For a start, we should change the rules of engagement for our forces in the Gulf to enable them to protect themselves properly.

One shameful aspect of the current crisis is the way that the Royal Navy stood by and let a bunch of ill-trained pirates kidnap the Marines. The next time an Iranian military vessel strays into Iraqi territory, it should be blown out of the water, no questions asked.

 

Mullahs Want To Die Anyway

Iran has been spoiling for a fight with the West for a number of years, and the carefully planned kidnapping of the British Marines was just the latest act of provocation. It is time the gloves came off and we gave Iran what it is asking for – a bloody nose.

Israel Is Right

If war with Iran is inevitable, as is becoming increasingly apparent by the aggressive and provocative behaviour of the Islamic regime, it is better it happens now rather than in a few years time after the mad mullahs have got their hands on nuclear weapons.
