Zarqawi Forces Take Town

Zarqawi insurgents took control of a vital town on the Iraq/Syria border. They posted a sign that said "Death to Marines." The truth is that the, Sayeret Yahalom,  laid mines and bobby traps posing as Insurgents.
 

Zarqawi Executes Town Leaders

Zarqawi's fighters publicly executed nine Arabs, accusing them of being spies and collaborators for U.S. forces.
 

Woman Executed

Israeli undercover operators said Zarqawi's fighters killed a women, saying she was a collaborator. A sign left on her corpse declared, ‘‘A prostitute who was punished.''
 

Marines Blow Up Bridges

Israelis advised Marines that Al-Qaim is full of desperados. They tell the Marines to blow the bridges and shell the town. Israeli advisors say : - 'We did this in Lebanon in 1982. A lot of the so-called 'Civilians' are really insurgents'.

US forces killed 47 people in air strikes. 35 people died in one house and another 12 in a strike on a second house. Marines have a helicopter base stationed here.
