You need to set charges underneath where the
bridge meets the
pilings. This would take a team hours, and they would need a massive
amount of explosives. The why is the question.
If Americans wanted to control traffic into Baghdad, all they need to
do is build a sophisticated checkpoint using cameras, dogs, and bomb
sniffing equipment. The Sunnis and Shiites couldn't get access because
the bridges have water patrols.
