The 1/25/2007 Battle At Ar-Ramadi

Ar-Ramadi

These is a Sunni stronghold of 400,000. To the west is a single road to Syria, one that Israel uses to send in operatives to supply and guide the local resistance. After the slaughter of 6,000 at Fallujah, ten years of American embargoes where 1.5 million died, and a 60% unemployment rate, it's not hard for Shin Beth to recruit.

All Israel has to do is send in thirty operatives with advanced shoulder fired missiles, an IED team, the Mossad and their car bombs, and they can reek havoc. Their embedded advisors know patrol routes, flight schedules, etc., so US forces are sitting ducks. Then plant a bomb in a local market, and kill forty, quickly blaming the Americans.

What Idiot Picked Those Bases?

Logically you want one central base outside of town, on a remote road. You have one way in, a stack of helicopters, and surrounded by gun turrets. In town, you have a nest of Iraqi informers, the American patrols are heavy armor, with the Iraqis soldiers on foot leading the way. You install a Sunni police department as your first line of defense. Install motion detector cameras on the main roads.

Yesterday's Battle

Americans seize, lock down city of ar-Ramadi, shoot dead 32 civilians including nine pregnant women in 24 hours.  Women appeal to tribes in al-Fallujah to break deadly US siege. In a dispatch posted at 9:19pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in the previous 24 hours the US troops in ar-Ramadi had killed 32 civilians after beginning to shoot at anything that moves in the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops seized control of government buildings and private houses that overlook the main streets in the city.  The Americans also took over the al-Mustafa Hospital after throwing the sick and injured patients and the doctors and staff out into the street. Persons wounded in the latest American rampages have no way to get medical care, since anyone who so much as opens his door and steps into the street is shot at by US snipers atop tall buildings or by American tanks.

The correspondent reported that US forces have closed all the roads in the city and have destroyed the fuel station and the water purification plants in order to deprive the city residents of fuel and potable water. US troops in ar-Ramadi mow down men lined up for gasoline, killing four Wednesday morning.

Resistance blasts US al-Warrar base with Grad rockets Wednesday morning. In a dispatch posted at 2:21pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five Grad rockets into the US al-Warrar base west of ar-Ramadi, which is located about 110km west of Baghdad, on Wednesday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the barrage set off thunderous explosions that shook the area and sent smoke rising into the sky.  US helicopters then flew in at low altitude over the base, indicating that there were casualties that had to be evacuated.

Think Of 1983 Beruit, Or The Khobar Towers

Those were both installations right in the towns. In both instances a truck just went passed a lone sentry point, drove into the lobbies of the housing units, and detonated.

If anyone had a brain, have Halliburton truck in 200 mobile homes, a giant generator, and stay out of mortar range. The IEDs rely on an electronic detonator, so install scanners in the armored vehicles.

And the real 'Must Do' is get rid of those Israeli advisors, and demolition teams.
