On Sunday morning, ten new white
SUVs pull up to the Baghdad Red Crescent offices. Fifty gunman, in
police uniforms, surrounded two buildings, and kidnapped 30 workers,
including three security guards. The operation took fifteen minutes.
The security guards had AK-47s, cell
phones, and knew they would be killed, so they would have fought. The
Red Crescent workers would call the Baghdad police, they had 15 minutes
to respond, but they could have cared less.
What it tells you is these killers
are Interior Ministry police, and these are highly organized operations.
They are designed to start a civil war, pitting the Shiites, who control
the Interior Ministry, against the Sunnis, who are helpless. And as
always you ask who benefits from the destruction, and once again it is
Israel.
