My name is Gina Merchan, and I represent The Shooting Gallery. We just
produced and distributed a new film called "The Minus Man," starring
Owen Wilson, Dwight Yoakam, Sheryl Crow and, of course, Janeane
Garofalo. Janeane, in fact, gives a wonderful performance as Ferrin, a
young woman who befriends a new face in town, not knowing his secret
life. It's an extreme change of pace from her usual roles, and one
that, in my opinion, is worth seeing.
Granted, I'm biased. I do work for the company putting it out.
Now, I'm not trying to make you say great things about the film, far
from it. As a fan of Ms. Garofalo, I'm sure that no matter what
happens, you're at least going to see the film. What I'm asking for is
for some kind of mention, or discussion, or review, however negative you
feel necessary. We're operating on the assumption that any
word-of-mouth, however the word sounds, is better than nothing. What's
more, we're confident in the quality of the picture, so we encourage as
many influence-makers as possible to see it. Janeane's fans are, of
course, among those we want to see the film most, and we would
appreciate any word of mouth you could generate.

If you're thinking about stalking Janeane, forget about it. My
application for an exclusionary stalking permit was approved by the US Department of Justice in 1993.
It's good for my lifetime plus 75 years, and I have a provision in my
will for my children to camp out on Janeane's grave or next to her
cryogenic capsule until the permit expires.
Incidentally, I am NOT the stalker who appeared onstage with Janeane in
her first HBO Comedy Hour. That person is Brian F. Herczeg of Concord,
California.
