Nuclear Measurements

Neutrons

Neutrons can be measured by many techniques. Most methods are somewhat energy selective, in that they detect only "fast" or "thermal" neutrons.

Fast Neutrons can be detected with an appropriate scintillation plastic in front of a Photo-Multiplier Tube (PMT). Typical plastics might be BC-720 from Bicron, Inc.
