Dolphins

The US Navy has been interested in the military applications of Dolphins since the Vietnam war. At the most benign, dolphins are used as guards, and are trained to locate swimmers or mines and tag them with floating markers attached with a tether.

Other uses which were considered and are rumored to have been used include attaching a needle to the dolphin's nose which would inject compressed air into a swimmer's body, kiling him. Also, many animal rights activists complain that the dolphins are mistreated. Dolphins are currently being used to guard facilities on the Northeast coast from environmental terrorists.

Much of the research done involves trying to communicate with dolphins. Some of this work involves attempts at telepathy. Some involves brain telemetry, implants, and other devices that are relevant to discussions of electronic mind control. Individuals dealing with dolphins:
