Editorial 09/14/98
In the true style of the age the sordid affairs of the White House have been spread worldwide like a thick, dark mass of molasses, but characteristic of this age few men can really comprehend the meaning of the current revelations they are reading. For some of us the Starr report seems hard to read unless one has a penchant for sleaze and sex. Besides the president's affairs, this event seems to have kicked off a small avalanche of repentance from certain congressional members and religious leaders. Seems a good as time as any to get all the repenting done. All of this so-called sorrow seems to be all the rage these days.
Someone once said, "When an institution has come to its apostate end, when a nation has been ruined and broken, its citizens make large things small and small things large." What $50,000,000 and a year's worth of work has taught us is that our president is an adulterer and he lied about it. This is not new. I think we really knew all of this a long time ago. It is something to spend money on, though, and a good way to get everyone totally sickened. The media can make a few bucks as well. Oh, yes, we also learned the president is a little kinky and not quite all there.
I do not mean to say that what the president did is a small thing, but I think it is a small thing in comparison with the larger things that the powers of justice will not touch with the proverbial ten-foot pole. The Starr report just dealt with the minutia of presidential crime. The large crimes that were committed by the president were witnessed by the whole world, but nobody seems inclined to talk about those things or to do anything about them -- no one including Kenneth Starr. Mr. Starr is too busy concentrating on the small things like whether or not the president was truthful in answering some questions on a deposition. The whole world is amazed at all of this sleaze in government, but the whole world seems to miss the main point.
I checked the polls after the report was published and a surprisingly large number of people want to keep the man who was elected since they have a job in one of the country's slave labor camps and they seem better off than five years ago. They are able to bring home a few bucks and buy a few toys. They credit Clinton for that. Just a little aside here. Bill Clinton had nothing to do with the "good" economy these days. The reason for the economy's bubble is the old trickle-down effect Reagan talked about. It trickled down about the time Clinton was elected. We are living on the bubble of a five trillion dollar debt largely created during the Reagan years. To make it plain, our households went out and borrowed about half a million dollars during those years. We went out and bought a lot of goodies with it and it sure feels good. The picture hanging before our eyes is peace and prosperity. No one thinks that the bill is coming due one day. Just another aside to this aside. Have you not noticed that no one in Congress even dares mentioning paying off the debt? They, along with the president, talk about using the surplus to help Social Security. After that, they will decide what to spend the surplus on, but no one at all says anything about paying off the debt. Well, if you don't know why by now, I'm not tellin'.
What are those big things that the Independent Counsel won't investigate? There are three big things we can mention here. President Clinton is a murderer, he is a terrorist and he is an extortioner. This is public knowledge and proven by thousands of feet of video tape. The whole world knows this. President Clinton and his partner in crime, Janet Reno, murdered eighty people in their church near Waco, Texas. Everyone saw it. This attack on the Branch Davidian Church was unlawful. Military weaponry was used to attack the church and that is illegal and unconstitutional. Why is so much of America not outraged at this? It is because the tellers of stories spun their tale that this church was a cult and its leader was molesting all the children. So what did America watch? They watched the spin twins go in and murder all the children. That way the cult leader couldn't molest them anymore.
How do I know the president is a murderer? I know this because I believe his own definition. He stated that Timothy McVeigh was a murderer for bombing the federal building in Oklahoma City. Yes, President Clinton used that very word. Timothy McVeigh was tried on murder charges. Yes, that's right. Murder! That being true, the president just bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan. A number of innocent people were killed by this terrorist attack. All things being the same, that would make the president a murderer by his own definition. Of course, the president spun the tale that this aspirin factory was producing weapons of mass destruction, but no evidence for that whatever was forthcoming. Sudan wants the site inspected but the president doesn't want the site inspected. No wonder why. If Timothy McVeigh had claimed that the U.S. was using the Oklahoma federal building as an archive to hide secret documents concerning the Waco massacre and the basement was used for the development of secret devices to destroy the American people, do you suppose that spin would have helped his case in court? Suppose he said he had evidence that the building was used for chemical warfare on U.S. citizens? Suppose he said he found some poison dust out in the parking lot? Would that have freed him? Why did these spins free our president? Is he somehow not accountable for murder but everyone else is? The president attacked a sovereign country without an act of war from Congress. This is against the law and against the Constitution of the United States of America.
Another factor somewhat related is cowardice. On June 23, 1996 a bomb exploded near a U.S. military barracks in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia killing nineteen U.S. servicemen and wounding hundreds of people. Clinton called this attack "an act of savagery matched only by its cowardice." Would not the principle apply to the U.S. attack on the Sudan aspirin factory? Would that not be an act of savagery matched only by its cowardice? Those people killed were not even military people. They were simple civilians doing their normal, daily jobs.
Finally, the crime of extortion was not covered by the Independent Counsel. Extortion according to Webster means, "to wrest or wring information from a person by violence, intimidation, or abuse of authority; obtain by force, torture, threat, or the like." This is precisely what has happened with Iraq. Our president's acts of extortion, renamed "sanctions," has starved to death hundreds and thousands of innocent children. There is no other word than extortion and murder that would fit this crime. But, then again, the spin doctors tell the story that Saddam has some weapons in his bathroom so we have to kill all his kids to force him to give them up. This fits the precise definition of extortion.
Why is it that the Independent Counsel spends $50,000,000 to find out if the president lied to him, but not one penny went to expose the crimes that have affected the entire world? This is not a mystery if one has just a little gray matter left. The reasons the real crimes go unpunished is because these big crimes are the new order of things. This massive violence against people must be shown to them so that they might expect extortion and terror if they step out of line. THIS MEANS YOU! Step out of line and no law will come to your defense. You are simply going to be dead meat because the Washington mafia will tell a story to the public that you were some crazed idiot and that is why they had to go in and take you out. All of the little followers will nod their heads in agreement and no one will come to your aid. This is the future planned for us. What has happened is that when using governmental force, those things which were once crimes for government are simply reinterpreted outside of the law into legal acts. Of course, the very same acts practiced by citizens will land them in the slammer so fast they will not know what hit them--unless one is the president. I don't like wearing out this Protocols document, but nothing says it better.
From the Protocols: ...We shall be in a position to disregard forms [of law] in carrying through matters for which our impersonal puppet will be responsible. What do we care if ...there should arise a deadlock from the impossibility of finding presidents, a deadlock which will finally disorganize the country? ... In order that our scheme may produce this result we shall arrange elections in favor of such presidents as have in their past some dark, undiscovered stain, some "Panama" or other - then they will be trustworthy agents for the accomplishment of our plans out of fear of revelations and from the natural desire of everyone who has attained power, namely, the retention of the privileges, advantages and honor connected with the office of president. The president's advisors will provide cover for, will protect, ...but we shall take from his advisors the right to propose new, or make changes in existing laws, for this right will be given by us to the responsible president, a puppet in our hands. Naturally, the authority of the presidents will then become a target for every possible form of attack, but we shall provide him with a means of self-defense in the right of an appeal to the people, for the decision of the people over the heads of their representatives, that is to say, an appeal to that same blind slave of ours - the majority of the mob. [This mob majority is seen in the manipulated national polling data]. Independently of this we shall invest the president with the right of declaring a state of war. We shall justify this last right on the ground that the president as chief of the whole army of the country must have it at his disposal, in case of need for the defense of the ...republican constitution, the right to defend which will belong to him as the responsible representative of this constitution. It is easy to understand then in these conditions the key of the shrine will lie in our hands, and no one outside ourselves will any longer direct the force of legislation.
It may as well be acknowledged that when this president goes, one of equal usefulness to these conspirators will replace him. Truly, honest men of integrity would never make it as far as the presidency. This explains why so many things go so wrong and leadership is so inept. This purposed plan that is placed before us is the reason we see that little things are noticed instead of big things. It is true, however, that the little things must be noticed anyway. I do not mean to say that adultery and lying are little things, but they seem little compared to millions of little starving children who have no idea whatever why they should be starving. The little things in the Starr report seem little when one thinks of the horror those little Branch Davidian kids felt as the fires scorched their little frames to ashes. Our "sensitive" president was untouched by their misery; instead he spun the tale that they burned themselves up so it is all their own fault. This should offend any American who thinks at all anymore. Does the president take us all for a pack of idiots? I think he does and it is probable most of us are.
Well, let's see. The polls say our president is a good president in spite of his kinky affairs. Let's do a reality check and see if these folks saying these things are demented or what. The president's bad side:
The president's good side:
When talk of impeachment is mentioned for this symbol of the nation, the president's supporters are quick to mention that a president is only impeached for constitutional violations and not for White House affairs. This president has shredded the Constitution but, then again, his supporters are not talking about the really big things. Others are saying Congress may settle for a public rebuke. After what this nation has been put through, there will be a public rebuke? Let's see now. Maybe it would go something like this. "Mr. Clinton, you have been very naughty and the Congress rebukes you and you had better not do this again." Mr. Clinton answers while pointing his finger at the camera, "I want you to listen to me, I want you to get this straight. I will be a good person from this day forward. Now, I've got to get back to work."
I really have to be fair here. This writing seems to be blaming the president for all of this. I don't mean to do that. The president was elected by Americans who knew pretty well what he was up to while he was running for president. I have to say America is mostly to blame.
Because the Congress failed to take action in investigating the Clinton murders and bringing to justice the terror twins, the Congress of the United States is guilty of murder along with the president. Because the people of the nation voted the president into office and paid his wages; because the people of the country bought and paid for the weapons that committed the Clinton murders, and because the nation turns its face away from these abuses of power, the citizens themselves are a party to murder, terrorism and extortion. We have sustained the president and we must take the responsibility for those things he has done. The American culture still runs on the notion of cowboys and Indians. As long as we elect presidents who think and act like most Americans do, we will get what we got. As long as Americans make big things small and small things big, we will not have eyes to see or ears to hear what is really happening to us.
Finally, it might be said that God let it all happen so He is a murderer also. God is not a murderer because He is doing something about it. We are not escaping our judgment. Since we have not righted our situation by calling corruption by its right name, but, instead, called it by some lesser name, God is taking the case in hand and is doing it for us.
"Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness: I will cast you to the ground, I will lay you [humiliate you] before kings, that they may behold you [see your humiliation]. You have defiled your sacred places [Constitution] by the multitude of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trade; therefore will I bring forth a fire [resistance and rebellion] from within you, it shall devour you, and I will bring you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold you.
All they that know you among the people shall be astonished at you: you will be a terror [to those who look on], and never will you be any more [done away with]." Eze 28:17-19
