As the 18-hour flight between Andrews Air Force Base and the People's Republic of China drew to its close, Air Force One descended into the smoggy twilight over Xi'an. U.S. President William Jefferson Clinton had arrived, leaving behind his innumerable scandals, the charges of malfeasance and corruption, and the doubts of others regarding his loyalty to the national interest. The fact that this president is willing to make such a controversial visit with these fundamental issues unresolved, indicates there is a very important agenda on the table -- one that cares nothing of U.S. public opinion.
The president left behind a capital that is abuzz with speculation over his complicity in illegal campaign contributions -- money that came from the Red Chinese People's Liberation Army -- allegedly to purchase Clinton's approval of the sale of sensitive missile technology to Red China. With over a dozen congressional committees investigating these sales and with serious charges hanging over his head, one would think the president would travel anywhere but China, but he went anyway.
Clinton's involvement with the Red Chinese is well known and well documented, even by the official media. Large sums of money -- hundreds of thousands of dollars -- wended its way from the Chinese military into Clinton's '96 reelection campaign. The question is whether he knew about it. The evidence suggests he did, because in '96 he abruptly loosened tight controls on technology transfers to China.
The Clinton campaign received money from other interests as well. Bernard Schwartz, CEO of rocket manufacturer Loral Space Technologies donated $632,000 to the Democratic National Party in '95 and '96. Schwartz lobbied Clinton to relax export controls so Loral could sell rocket technology to Red China -- ostensibly for the purpose of improving their satellite delivery capabilities. It just so happens that this technology enables Red China to deliver nuclear weapons to U.S. cities as well. Clinton, contrary to protests of some in his administration, ordered the changes to export controls that would allow China to obtain rocket technology.
It finally started to dawn on Congress that Clinton and his Democratic Party may have received illegal campaign contributions from the Red Chinese military for the purpose of facilitating technology transfers that would imperil U.S. National Security. On May 21st the House managed to scrape up enough moral outrage to pass a resolution urging Clinton to "cooperate" with a congressional investigation into the affair.
Other U.S. companies have pressured Clinton to relax export controls so they could also sell a variety of military technologies, from encryption control chips to satellites. Many of these companies were DNC contributors, and many promised votes if they could obtain lucrative Red Chinese contracts. The entire affair is a labyrinth of favors and payoffs with the tragic end result now staring Americans in the face. China now has thirteen nuclear missiles targeting U.S. cities, thanks, in part, to President Clinton and his corporate handlers. In fulfillment of Lenin's prophecy, the West had sold the rope with which it would be hung.
There are convicted spies serving lifelong prison sentences for helping the Soviets the way Clinton has helped the Red Chinese, which makes his trip to China even more disgusting. After allegedly selling his country out to boost his own political fortunes, the president goes to visit his benefactors for nine days, longer than any other state visit by a U.S. president. With Clinton's loyalty to his country in question, and the word "treason" sounding more appropriate by the hour, one wonders if Clinton and Chinese leader Jiang Zemin are laughing and sharing drinks while planning their next move.
The awful symbolism of this sorry affair is evident in all the arrangements of the state visit. As the day of departure drew near, China demanded, and obtained, humiliating concessions regarding certain arrangements of the visit. A truly presidential American leader would have rejected such demands, but not Clinton.
The Chinese had already moved the visit up from November to June when it would coincide with the 1989 Tiananmen massacre. The Chinese then demanded Clinton receive his official greeting, not at the airport like Nixon did, but on the red carpet at the Tiananmen Square. It's just "a five-minute deal" fumbled Sandy Berger, Clinton's National Security Advisor. Face and image means everything to the Chinese, who have lusted for film footage of an American leader in the bloody Tiananmen Square for nine years. Such a remarkable endorsement of Chinese repression should have been shunned by America's leader, but not Clinton.
The Chinese also demanded that Clinton not meet any dissidents while in China and not visit Japan, South Korea, or Taiwan -- a symbolic gesture that would imply Red China's preeminence among the Asian allies, none of which brutalize their citizens as China does. Clinton conceded on this as well. Finally, the White House conceded that it had relinquished control of the visit to the Chinese all together.
The Chinese weren't finished, however. The day before Clinton departed, China canceled the visas of three American journalists from Radio Free Asia that were to travel with the president. These journalists had been critical of the Chinese regime. To demand that they be allowed to come would be to support the American ideal of freedom of speech. True to his character, Clinton gave in on this demand as well. When criticized for it at home he weakly replied, "We do not ignore the value of symbols ... but in the end, if the choice is between making a symbolic point and making a real difference, I choose to make the difference." Clinton made a symbolic point anyway, proving to the world that he is a spineless, compromised leader who is bought and paid for by foreign interests and that American ideals mean nothing to him.
Perhaps even surprised themselves at how shameless and devoid of principle their American friend is, the Communists arranged another propaganda coup to shore up Clinton's sagging image at home. A "spontaneous" debate took place between Clinton and Jiang during a televised news conference on Sunday. During that debate Clinton spoke of the Tiananmen Square massacre and human rights, among other topics. The event was televised live on Chinese television -- a display of openness uncharacteristic of the Chinese regime.
The effect was magical. "Truly historic," gushed Sandy Berger. "The premise we have been proceeding along is correct." Other administration officials sounded the note of triumph, calling it a "turning point" in Chinese - U.S. relations. The American news media echoed the jubilant optimism. You would think the Berlin Wall fell again.
Actually, the Chinese oligarchs have learned a few things from their American counterparts. They've learned that in this new world order they can foster an illusion of freedom and change while maintaining the status quo. Honest, brutal government repression can be transformed into something more acceptable by maximizing the art of thought control. Appear kind and benevolent while smearing and stigmatizing your target, that way when you crush them, they will not receive sympathy from the majority. "Why, look at Bill", they must be saying. "He killed lots of people, too, and didn't end up looking so bad. In fact, he got reelected. Democracy must not be so bad after all!"
Free speech can now be tolerated, they've learned. Encourage debate and then introduce a multitude of conflicting opinions, create "consensus" and control the outcome. Thus, all participants are led to believe they have contributed to the decision when, in reality, their minds were made up for them. Create a culture of mind control where those questioning the direction of the majority are viewed as "bigoted, narrow-minded conspiracy theorists." Make it fashionable to attack morality and individualism.
Stage a national "conversion" like the fall of the Soviet Union to make the gullible feel warm and fuzzy inside. Revive "glastnost". Drop buzzwords like "the New China" to make everyone think it's changed. People like happy endings and they will love this one.
Because of its chaotic history of civil war and foreign occupation, the Chinese oligarchy has been reluctant to loosen its old-fashioned authoritarian grip on the population, diverse both in culture and language. Perhaps, now that Socialist principles are firmly entrenched in the new international system and their own places in it assured as well, the Chinese leadership will allow the "appearances" of certain political freedoms in China.
While it is likely that Clinton's treasonous approval of missile technology to Red China was influenced by Chinese money, the current flood of U.S. military assistance to the communist nation is not solely the result of bribery and corruption, though these play a part.
While pressure from profiteering defense contractors such as Loral and Hughes Electronics had a part in influencing Clinton's policies toward China, the U.S. build-up of Chinese nuclear capability is not solely the result of an out-of-control military industrial complex, though this plays a part as well.
The build-up of Red China as a world superpower, with a corresponding weakening of America's military, economic and political strength, is in accordance with globalist objectives. This fact was pointed out by George Stephanopoulos, formerly one of Clinton's closest advisors. On ABC's This Week (3-16-97) he bluntly stated that the Clinton administration's policies toward China reflect the influence of the "Council on Foreign Relations, [international bankers] Lehman Brothers [and] Goldman Sachs."
That global finance should involve itself in strengthening a Communist regime should be no surprise to the student of history. These insiders originally financed the Bolshevik revolution, played both sides of the Cold War for their own profit, and are now transforming a backward China into a nuclear superpower to further facilitate their goal of global control.
Globalist banker David Rockefeller, considered to be the godfather of the Insider Conspiracy, once praised the achievements of Communist China's leader paramount Mao Tse-tung. Rockefeller lauded Communist China's "sense of national harmony," and declared that the revolution was successful --"not only in producing more efficient and dedicated administration--but, also, in fostering high morale and community purpose." (The New American magazine - December 8, 1997)
Bill Clinton is a Rockefeller protege. He is a member of the Rockefeller-founded Trilateral Commission and the Rockefeller-dominated Council on Foreign Relations. He has carried out the agenda of these organizations in his pursuit of global trade agreements and world order building. Clinton shares Rockefeller's admiration of the Communist Chinese system, and he is carrying out the Insiders' agenda in his policy toward China.
Red China's crimes against humanity are almost too numerous to delineate, from forced abortions, infanticide and other population control measures to the sale of body parts from executed prisoners, its slave labor camps, and the brutal suppression of dissent. From Tibet to Tiananmen, the blood of the oppressed cries out for justice and, yet, this is the system the globalists desire to strengthen and promote. Already the U.S. president has demonstrated his penchant for the exercise of raw power after the Chinese example -- a small foretaste of what the world of the future will be like.
The fact that this new world system is being built on bribery, treachery, and treason should further convince the skeptical of what lies ahead.
