POT - ping observation tool
(c) Jul 10 1999 by Mixter

Wow, you're actually reading this.
This tool will ping sweep a custom
IP range for broadcasts (all addresses
ending in 0 and 255) that can be
used as smurf amplifiers.

To start, type 'make' and run the
program 'pot'. The program '420'
will be called from that program
and log all ping replys into a
specified logfile.

The file 'ip' is a bash script
that determines the machines
current IP and will be called
from 'pot'.

Once the scanning is done, you
can use the 'weed' shell script
to produce a list of broadcasts
with many replies.

NOTICE: 'pot' is optimized
for high-performance and will
use about 80% of a normal
T1's bandwith while running.
It is not recommended to be
run from a connection slower
than T1.
