"Denver-based broadband provider Aerie has indicated it intends to restore some portions of the Ricochet network, perhaps in its home state of Colorado and California." CNET reports. CNET also went on to say "The deal, approved in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Friday, is expected to be finalized by the end of next week. Under the deal, Aerie receives Metricom's assets, except for about $134 million the company has in the bank, which is dedicated to creditors"

I haven't seen any further updates on the network propagation or when it will even go up but I know that a lot of us have been waiting for this to happen. I had my modem for three weeks before the network went down, that really got me upset. Now that it is going back up, it will help me have access on the road.
