Real Networks Turbo Play
The Register has built a new version of thier player for the gold pass users named turbo play. It's suppossed to launch streams up to 800% faster. Instead of playing a 150K stream at 150K, it would buffer all available data at the network pipe speed and play it more locally. I like the idea of Real making any advances but I really wish they would make it like a $20 download for the software than having to belong to a Real subscription service because a) I use linux and b) I alreasdy have cable.
