Is there a 'Hacker" working at Intel?
According to a story on CNET News.com, Intel is looking to add Wi-Fi to cell phones to help 911 call-centers to locate emergency callers. I don't know how many times I have heard companies saying 'we need wireless here'. I hate proving when wireless is a bad idea but it occurs that it is not been a good idea to base anything on 802.11b. First you have wardriving and people finding APs. You have stores like Best Buy, with thier cash machines on it, that was a disaster. What now, everyones cell phones. It's not a good idea to share any info on 802.11 without proper security, like firewalls and dmz's. Read more here
