I forget what TV show I was watching but there was a blurb about Boingo Wireless. They charge a lot of money compared to simple wardriving. They do have major areas covered by their own AP's but they are mostly hotels and airports. The pricing structure is like: Boingo Pro - $24.95 a month, includes 10 Connect Days. A Connect Day includes unlimited access in a Boingo location for up to 24-hours. You can even disconnect and reconnect within each 24-hour period from the same location with no additional charge. Each additional Connect Day is just $4.95.
Boingo As-You-Go - Not sure how much Boingo you'll need? Then sign up for Boingo As-You-Go and only pay for what you use with no monthly fees. It's only $7.95 per Connect Day.
Boingo Unlimited - Unlimited monthly usage is just $74.95. Connect all day, everyday, if you want. Sky’s the limit.

Now all this is is access to WEP secured APs. Visit their site at http://www.boingo.com and grab a copy of their free software. The service sounds too expensive to me.
