It could happen but when and what companies? The cable companies are noticing people like me and others out there who are just making the most out of thier bandwidth. They would like to capitalize on that. Thet have started thinking of a tier system where 1.5MB bandwidth would run about $100 with 768KB less. There is an article here on tech live about it.
