Tron turns 20 years old... now I feel old.
Disney, the censoring giant, marked the 20th anniversary of Tron. If you never have seen the film, now is the time. Tron was a technical marvel in 1982. The movie contains 30 minutes worth of computer animation that was rendered at the rate of 10 minutes per frame. That's about 9,000 hours of processing time. There has been stories and an entry on IMDB about a Tron remake but the 1982 film Tron will always be a classic.
Kernel 2.5.2 released
Kernel 2.5.2 has made it's appearence and comes with a new addition that many are adopting, USB 2.0. There are not many devices yet for USB 2.0 and drivers for a lot of USB devices but this could be yet another step forward for the free operating systems.
Lindows, you what?!?!?!
Well, folks. I was watching TechTV and they were explaining on how the Linux Distro Lindows had to give away all their emails that they received. If you signed up on the Lindows website, Microsoft now has your email address and the body of the message. The developer or Lindows stated that he was sorry and he was required to do it. I am glad that I didn't sign up on that announce list, but I do find the actions of Lindows very upsetting.
