2600 Meeting tonight
2600 meetings occur tongiht, the one in NYC just kicked off right about now and I am going to be at the LA 2600 meeting tonight to see Noid for the last time before he leaves for Seattle. We then will be going to get drunk at the beach bar! Ok, not so newsworthy but it's fun telling everyone that I am going to get drunk. Whats even funnier is that you read this much of it. Anyway see you people at 2600 and for all the people at NYC 2600, I miss ya.

New York Times hacked (ha ha).
The New York Times said on Wednesday it was investigating a security breach of its internal corporate website, but said that a security flaw has been fixed. I don't find this all that interesting, especially when the company has to come out and tell us about it. There wasn't much info on the hack or how they were effected but maybe, the news story itself was the hack.
Original story
Really unrelated!
I was just noticing yesterday that pop start from the 80's
Tiffany will be featured in this months issue of Playboy. It pretty much says that she's showing herself all grown up. She looks great and thats my mail plan today. Sarah Silverman, who is also one of the women I most would like to be with is also in the issue. I guess that what the fortune cookie meant by "Lady Luck will be visiting you soon."
I saw Mitnick on Silicon Spin
Just a quickie but Kevin Mitnick appeared on TechTV's Silicon Spin With John C. Dvorak. I don't usually watch this show but my TiVo automatically grabbed the show because it was on the Ethics of Hacking. Gosh, my TiVo knows me huh? Anyway, the show was basically a debate between Kevin Mitnick and Marcus Ranum (CTO and founder of NFR Security). I would like to first say, that guy Marcus is an asshole and should think before he opens his fat mouth. He even came out with statements like, "The difference between us and hackers is that we are like engineers and we read hacker BBS's and try to think of their next move." Hey, even I can read rootshell and bugtraq. That doesn't make me an engineer when I can fix the companys website from stuff I read. The guy just gets upset when he knows hackers out there have an ability to hack into companies and don't care about being nice about it. Fuck nice.
