Don't you ever get tired of poor software?
As I flipped to news.com today I was surpised that the had a page dedicated to the new security problems. The problems being: Credit card theft feared in Windows flaw, File-name flaw threatens PGP users, Klez attack may wipe out attacker, Server attacks stump Microsoft . This is just really sad. We are max-ing the security around the USA for the September 11th anniversary but we don't have the same standards for our software? What happened to all the talk about the "cyber terrorists"? Goes to show you that when it comes to big software companies it's just another white paper of software snapshot. Read more

The ScreenSavers... Blah Blah
Well, some of you might know already but for those who don't, I am a big ScreenSavers fan. I like the show a lot because of the topics they cover and the personality of it all. I have hung out with Patrick Norton a bunch and we have emailed back and forth. Well you might know that they have been building their new set here in Los Angeles. The producers, I think, needed a new look. From the drawings it looks like it was inspired from the Call for Help set. I hope they don't impose a dress code.. hrm. All this is meaning that there might be possibly a lot more clueless people with access points up and down the streets. I am sure I am not the only one who though this reading this story. More found

Music Subscription sites... well suck.
CNN reports that the hype for music subscription sites was too early for the late coming service. I don't use the sites but CNN stated that they offer limited downloads that actually expire when a customer ends a subscription. Read more

Apple Computer has invoked the DMCA... Assholes!
To prevent its customers from burning DVDs on external drives Apple Computer has invoked the DMCA. This means Macintosh owners with older computers or laptop computers, or people who opted not to buy the "Superdrive"-equipped Macs, could not use iDVD to save movies. This really suprizes me since I have always known of Apple for being a freedom loving hippie market. Go Apple! Go straight to corperate hell. More
