So a new magazine is out.
I was at a computer fair this weekend and I saw the PC Enthusiast Magazine booth but didn't bother to stop. Probably because I was argueing the price of Compact Flash with a vendor. I saw the magazine in the Free pile at Bordor's bookstore. It's very colorfull, not thick. I thought it was a preview when I looked at it. As I read it at home I started to dislike it. One reason was the TV Card review, who is buying TV cards now-a-days. If I was to buy a TV card it would at least be a HDTV, not a $60 card. Why not review USB TV Tuners instead. One story didn't impress me either. It was about "How to build the Ultimate PC" and turned out to be more of a "How to build a PC" article with intructional pictures. Since it is free I have to expect all the advertisements, but if the magazine is called PC Ethusiast Magazine, shouldn't it be more cutting edge? Check out their website here.
