E-mail scam makes Best Buy scramble | CNET
People can be so stupid to fall for these scams but now it's known lately as the Best Buy scam. If I really have to explain it in detail I will eat someones young. Lets say I am a hacker. I mail you. The mail says, thanks for your order from tommEE.net, but your password and credit card are wrong, please update. You update. Why do you update? Because you might be the 1 in 100 that have ordered something from tommEE.net. Is this cause for alarm? No. It's just bad news gets lots of attention. Like I said before, this scam works on ratios of people. It's just like sending an email to lots of people about thier paypal account. It would only work if they had paypal, and were STUPID.
