I have always said that the gaming industry is powering computing
It would appear that Sony under estimated the crowd. Friday, the servers were flooded due to its new online game based on "Star Wars."
To my confusion, the game just adds to the $50 to buy and 15 bucks a month waste catorgory. Sony Online Entertainment spokesman Chris Kramer said the hitches in service were due to overwhelming traffic from eager players. "Nobody's ever had this kind of first-day volume in a game like this," he said. Well that is debateable but someone sure needs to get these kiddies some drugs like I had when I was little, it's often less lan the price of the Computer and Subscription fees. More here

Microsoft Pocket PC 2003
I haven't got to try this out but it's been the talk of the week. First I saw it on Tech TV on the Screensavers and then I saw news stories popping up everywhere. It seems that the release is out, and is a must have if you can get it. It isn't a simple as going to Microsoft and ordering it. Your pocket pc maker has to sell it to you. It's up to the Pocket PC or PDA maker to decided to make the release.

It does pack some cool features such as the Bluetooth Partnership Wizard and Windows Media Player 9.0. It was said, if you can get this, buy it, it's worth it. It's $30 and I know it's available for my Dell Axim. Don't forget to back up. Read more about it Here

Microsoft's path to expand the Windows empire is leading directly to search king Google.
The software company this month quietly launched a new search program called MSNBot, which scours the Web to build an index of HTML links and documents. The homegrown system--which performs robot functions previously left to Inktomi and other partners--may pose a significant threat to Google if Microsoft fulfills its promise to make the program a cornerstone of its overall PC and services strategies

Neither Google nor Microsoft made executives available for this report. However, in a recent interview with The Seattle Times, Microsoft executive Jim Allchin said condescendingly: "Google's a very nice system, but compared to my vision, it's pathetic."

Knock Knock... whos there?... FBI wants to talk to you about Metallica
A new bill is going to have the FBI investigating your computer or ISP for P2P sharing. They are now going to be looking for copyrighted information and intellectual property. This is making me upset since they have this time to hunt down coputer pirates but the current threat is still at the Elevated Level. You mean I am not safe. The condition is defined by: An Elevated Condition is declared when there is a significant risk of terrorist attacks. Oh sure, take your time hunting down the P2P sharing and forget about finding Osama or finding Husain. This is rediculous that we are again after computer underground groups while people are dying. Money over People. Now thats the government. Read about the bill here
