System Overview System Diagram

Today, a majority of vehicles manufactured come with a remote keyless entry (RKE) system either standard or as an option. Most RKE systems arm the vehicle against theft, lock/unlock the doors and trunk, and some include car finder functions and remote start. RKE systems consist of a key fob transmitter and a receiver inside the vehicle. National provides a complete solution for a RKE transmitter, operating with low power consumption while still achieving good range and reliability.

Component Highlights

* Operational amplifiers, comparators - low power consumption and wide supply voltage range (to 2.7V or less) allow for longer battery life.
* PLL - low-cost single-integer, dual-integer, and fractional PLLs are suitable for wireless communication systems.
* LDO - ultra-low dropout voltage and low quiescent current provides for efficient power conversion required in battery-powered applications.
* Microprocessor - true in-system programmable Flash memory is ideal for applications requiring real-time data processing, multiple sensory interface, and remote monitoring.
