| Voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) provides the ability for sound to travel over the Internet in IP packets. A VoIP product converts voice from analog to digital, compresses the digital data, and then transmits the data via the Internet. On the receiver end, the data must be organized and decompressed. The decompressed data can then be converted back to analog and output through a speaker. National has various circuit components from data conversion, power management, and audio amplifiers that will enable this technology.
Component Highlights
* Switched-capacitor LED drivers - matched and constant currents create optimal drive conditions for white and blue LEDs.
* Ethernet PHY - delivers 1 Gbps performance with small size, low power, and full interoperability.
* Amplifier in Mic - miniaturized packaging and new amplifier IC design merge in the innovative amplifier within the ECM.
* Audio amplifier - low-power Boomer® amplifiers operate from 2.6V or 5V supplies.
* Buck switching regulator - high switching frequency, low output voltage, and small packages contribute to high-power density power solutions. |
