System Overview System Diagram

The Personal Digital Assistant is primarily a productivity and communications tool that is lightweight, compact, durable, reliable, easy to use, and integrates into existing operations. PDAs have continued to evolve and expand in functionality as technology catches up to consumer requirements, including ease of use, compatibility, and lower costs. National strives to meet these requirements with PDA solutions that will provide users with the computing, information storage, and data retrieval capabilities that they need to organize their personal/business life.

Component Highlights

* White LED drivers - efficient, low noise, and simple to control, these drivers produce brightness matching and color uniformity in chip-scale packages.
* Battery chargers - analog and microcontroller-based chargers address common chemistries with factory and customer programming.
* LDOs - low-voltage, low-power CMOS regulators have extremely low dropout and low noise, ideal for battery backup supply.
* Step-down regulators - DC/DC buck converters and linear regulators provide low-ripple, precise voltages to processors and power amplifiers while extending battery life.
* PLLs - single/dual integer and fractional PLLs have low current consumption and excellent phase noise performance.
* AC97 audio codecs - integrated with National's 3D sound circuitry.
* Audio amplifiers - Boomer® amplifiers consume little power and require few external parts.
