I called Qwest from one phone number and entered
another number for "the telephone number you are
calling about."

When I got the customer service rep, he asked only for
my telephone number and I promptly ordered Caller ID
with Security Screen.  The rep completed my order and
told me it would be activated in a few days.

Never did the rep ask for any more authentication...
not the name on the account, not the address...
nothing except the phone number.

Luckily, this was my phone.

With enough tries, a phone book and a pay phone, you
could add services to as many Qwest customers as you
could dial.  But of course you won't, because you're
reading this for educational purposes.
