First, I'll discuss op diverting and then build on that for the exalted Tellme wake up call. Op Diverting - credit to Lucky225 --------------------------------- 1. Dial 1-800-444-4444 (MCI Residential). Eventually it will read back your phone number. Actually, it's reading back your ANI - Automatic Number Identification. 2. Now dial 10-10-288-0 (or 00 if AT&T is your carrier - see Note below). When prompted dial 1-800-444-4444. The number that is read back should be drastically different. Why? You're going through AT&T, so their ANI is being passed. Note: To find out your long distance carrier, dial 1-700-555-XXXX. Now you know how to op divert without the operator. You'll need this for the Tellme wake up call. Tellme Wake Up Call - credit to Screamer Chaotix ------------------------------------------------ 1. Make sure you have your trusty tone dialer. 2. Find a bank of payphones that allows incoming calls, preferably in a populated area. 3. Most pay phones don't allow calls to 1-800-Tellme, so op divert to call 1-800-555-TELL (8355). 4. At the main menu, say "wake up call." 5. Set up a new sign-in number using the phone number of the phone you're on and a simple password. Accept auto sign-in. 6. Choose a time for the wake up call. Tellme defaults to Eastern time, so say the time, AM or PM, and the time zone. Example: "9:00 PM Mountain." Remember to give yourself enough time to hit all the pay phones. 6. Tellme will eventually say it has to call you back. Hang up and wait. 7. When Tellme calls back, the DTMF pad of the pay phone will be disabled. Use your tone dialer to sign in and verify that you want a wake up call. 8. Hang up and repeat at each pay phone. 9. Kick back and watch the fun. This was written from memory, so something might have been left out or placed in the wrong order. Just listen to the menus and you'll figure it out. Get friends to help and have fun.
