I tried to make this scan as user-friendly as possible. I found this
prefix when scanning 9999 numbers in Sydney. It is an Optus prefix,
that appears to be part of a larger Optus exchange in Rose Bay (at
least it sounds that way.) As you can see the 99XX range is full of
test numbers for this "Node 02R011", which is common to hear on Optus
error messages in Sydney. The 02 I can only assume is referring to
the area code for Sydney: 02. Anyway, there are tons of interesting
numbers here, maybe a few loops. I really didn't try to hard to find
out. I used Toneloc, an induction tap on my own line, and Cool Edit
to make MP3 recordings of the numbers so that you know what "I" heard,
and not what you hear 10 years from now. The MP3s are mono and real
low quality, so they aren't big files. If you find anything different
on any of the numbers from Sydney (particularly 9999 or 9941) please
let me know. To dial these numbers from the United States dial
011-61-2-9778-XXXX where XXXX is one of the number below.
