DESCRIPTION:
VMware has acknowledged a security issue and some vulnerabilities in
various VMware ESX products, which can be exploited by malicious
people to disclose potentially sensitive information, cause a DoS
(Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Some vulnerabilities are caused due to integer underflows within
the AES and RC4 decryption when handling ciphertexts shorter than the
minimum expected length.

For more information:
SA38080

2) The security issue is caused due to pam_krb5 returning different
password prompts depending on whether or not a valid user name is
supplied

For more information:
SA35230

The security issue and the vulnerabilities are reported in the
following products and versions:
* VMware ESX 3.5
* VMware ESX 3.0.3
* VMware ESX 2.5.5

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only. Filter network access using a
firewall. Restrict access to the pam_krb5 password prompt.
