DESCRIPTION:
High-Tech Bridge SA has discovered a vulnerability in Ashampoo 3D CAD
Professional, which can be exploited by malicious people to manipulate
certain data and compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to the ViewControl ActiveX control
(CyViewer.ocx) providing an insecure "SaveData()" method, which
allows to create or overwrite arbitrary files with controlled
content.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.0.1.7 (CyViewer.ocx
1.0.6.5). Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the ActiveX control.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
