DESCRIPTION:
Tempest Security has reported a vulnerability in Polycom HDX 8000,
which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable
system.

Input passed via the "ping" command feature is not properly sanitised
before being used. This can be exploited to inject and execute
arbitrary shell commands.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 2.7.1.J and 3.0.4.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.7.1.J or  3.0.4 when available.
