DISCLAIMER: Whatever you choose to do with this software is YOUR decision, not mine. I wrote this for
purely educational reasons, and any other use is prohibited. If you choose to use these programs for
something other than educational reasons, you are accepting responsibility for all of your actions, both
legal and illegal, and absolving me of ANY AND ALL responsibility for your actions. If you don't like or
agree with this, please uninstall this software and delete the setup files.

How to use the toolkit:
IRCrack is pretty self-explanitory: feed it a wordfile, and point it at an irc server and channel, and let it
go to work cracking the channel key. Boomcrack also uses a wordfile; use it to bruteforce an FTP server account.
New in this version is logging, and the option to encrypt the log files (by default turned on) with
the Brattberg esDES 56-bit encryption library. Coherent Log Reader (CLR) is a customized log-reader for the
Coherent Light toolkit which decrypts and displays Coherent Light toolkit log files. By default,
the CLR is placed on your desktop; just drag a saved and encrypted log onto it, give the proper passkey, and you
can view the log file. All Coherent Light toolkit log files are saved with the extension ".chl", so if you wish
to create a file association, use the command "<location of CLR> %1" in the "File Types" dialog of Explorer
(or, double-click on the ".chl" file, and (when it asks you for the file to open it with), click "Browse",
and select CLR. Now, you can just double-click on the log to read it).

How do I make a wordlist?
Use either one of the many, MANY programs that can do this for you, or make a wordlist by hand (in Notepad
or something similar). In either case, the format must be ONE word per line, followed by a carriage
return, i.e.:

one
word
word2

And that's all there is to it.

KNOWN BUGS:
The passkey you provide to encrypt the logfiles MUST be at least 8 characters long. If it is less, then the
program will crash.

Other notes:
I realize that there are still some bugs in this software. That's why this is a beta release. Email me at
cerebusartifact@hotmail.com with your bugs, so I can make the final release better. Future plans for the
toolkit include a Bruteforce cracker for Zip archives, and (possibly) a Bruteforce SQL cracker (still
looking into that). This was written in VB6 Professional SP3, using the EclipseUI 99 ActiveX components
(http://www.greeneclipsesoftware.com), as well as the Brattberg esDES component (I can't seem to find
their website ANYWHERE on the net; I don't think they're around anymore, but it was a freeware
control in the first place) and the MacBar and MacButton components (I'm not exactly sure who
wrote them or where I got them from, but, again, they were freeware :-).

Bug Fixes:
+ Migrated away from ActiveX for IRCrack. Rewrote the code.
