The new Radio Shack PRO-508 Programmable Scanner lets you in on the
action!  The PRO-508 gives you direct access to over 22,000 frequencies
in eight action-packed radio bands including police, fire, ambulance,
transportation services, and ham radio.  You can store frequencies in the
scanner's memory so you can select up to 20 channels to scan through, and
you change your selection at any time.

The secret of the PRO-508's ability to scan so many frequencies is its
custom-designed microprocessor (a computer on a chip) that lets you
instantly select any frequency without having to change any crystals.

The scanner's special features include:

 Liquid Crystal Display - Shows the channel number, the selected
                          frequency, and a variety of function indicators.

Direct Frequency Search - Gives you direct access to every available
                          frequency so you can find interesting
                          broadcasts.

    2-Second Scan Delay - Delays the scanning mode for two seconds
                          before moving to another channel so you can 
                          hear more replies.

          Memory Backup - Retains the frequencies stored in memory for 
                          up to 1 hour if the scanner is unplugged or 
                          a power failure occurs.

       Lockout Function - Lets you set your scanner to skip over 
                          specified channels.

         Monitor Memory - Lets you temporarily save a frequency you find
                          during a search.

    High-Speed Scanning - Scan speed of 16 channels per second and a
