PRO-89 Tutorial: How to Enter and View Car Numbers and Frequencies

This is a tutorial for entering and viewing frequencies by the associated car number. In the example below, we are entering the frequency 466.0600 for Car 1.

Step 1: Enter the Program by Car Mode

Press CAR. The display changes to the screen above and _ _ _ flashes.
  
Step 2: Enter the Car Number
  

Pro89 CAR# CAr No. _ _ 1 MAN

Enter the car number (1 in this example). If the number is one or two digits, enter the number then press CAR. If the number is three digits, enter the number only.
  
Step 3: Clear a Mistake

To clear the display (if you make a mistake), press MON/CL before you press CAR.
  
Step 4: Enter the Frequency

Enter the frequency (including the decimal point) you want to associate with the car number by using the number keys and DELAY/. In this example, we are entering the frequency 466.0600.
  
Step 5: Store the Frequency
  

Pro89 CAR# 1 466.0600 MAN

Press ENT to store the frequency. The car number and frequency are stored in the first available channel.
  
Step 6: Add Additional Frequencies for This Car
  

Pro89 CAR# 1 _ _ _ . _ _ _ MAN

Pro89 Keypad - Up Arrow, Down Arrow

To add additional frequencies for that car, press /\ or \/ until _ _ _ . _ _ _ appears. Then, start from Step 4 and repeat until all frequencies are added.
  
Step 7: End Programming by Car Number

To stop programming, press CAR twice; CAR # should disappear and the display should go back to the MAN (manual) mode.
  
Step 8: View Frequencies by Car

Pro89 Keypad - Up Arrow, Down Arrow

To view the frequencies for a particular car, go through Step 1 and Step 2, then press /\ or \/ to cycle through the frequencies.
