Pro-2052: How to Store Known Frequencies into Channels

In this tutorial, you will be shown how to store frequencies into the channels of your scanner. To make it easier to identify and select the channels you want to listen to, channels are divided into 20 banks of 50 channels each. Use each channel storage bank to group frequencies, such as those used by the police department, fire department, ambulance services, or aircraft.

Notes:

  • The scanner automatically rounds the entered frequency to the nearest valid frequency. For example if enter the frequency of 151.473, your scanner accepts it as 151.475.
  • If you entered a frequency that is already stored in another channel, the scanner beeps three times and displays the lowest channel number where the frequency is already stored. If you want to store the frequency anyway, press E again.
  • Press DELAY if you want the scanner to pause 2 seconds on this channel after the transmission ends, and before it proceeds to the next channel. DELAY appears on the display.
