In this tutorial, you will be shown how to lock and unlock unwanted ID's when you are trunking. This is particularly important in trunked systems because signals you cannot listen to (such as water meters, door alarms, traffic signals, and encrypted signals are assigned ID's just like other users. You can lock out up to 100 ID's.

Step 1: Lock Out IDs |

To
lock out an ID, press L/O when the ID appears. The ID is locked out, and
the next active ID appears. Note: If you lock out an ID while searching, it is also locked out of the scan list(s). |

Step 1: Initiate Lock Out |

Hold down L/O until you hear two short beeps. |
Step 2: Select the ID to Lock Out |

Repeatedly press the UP or DOWN arrows to select the ID you want to unlock. |
Step 3: Lock the Out ID |

Press L/O. The ID is unlocked and the next locked ID appears. |
Step 4: Resume Search Mode |
