The Dollar Will Not Crash (http://www.counterpunch.org/whitney10192009.html#)
...
World leaders and central bankers mutter about Fed policies, but do nothing. There's been no resistance ...
...
The financial crisis hasn't hurt the dollar a bit. The dollar isn't getting weaker because people are dumping it, but because Fed chief Bernanke is managing its value downward to increase exports and reduce the true cost of household and financial sector debt. What doomsayers are calling a "crash" is really just part of the Fed's plan.
...

Valid or not?

Just look at the simplest gauge for inflation - gold and silver prices. They've both gone up recently, demonstrating inflation fears, but so far not dramatically. Gold broke $1k an ounce recently, but it hasn't climbed much higher. You can start worrying when it starts rising dramatically, like $2k one month and $3k the next.

What doomsayers are calling a "crash" is really just part of the Fed's plan.

While it's not true that the dollar isn't affected by market forces (there was minor deflation of the dollar in the fall of 2008 because people were fleeing into dollars and out of stocks), a slow inflation is what the bankers and financial rulers want - that's been discussed in the libertarian circles on the internet for some time now. This will make the dollar cheaper but also make American exports look more attractive to foreigners in the coming years because the conversion rates will be more favorable to them. The trick for the financial rulers is to not let on that this is what they want. The central bankers walk a fine line, inflating the currency while trying to keep the nominal interest rates near zero - not a sustainable state for very long.

The Jew rulers haven't completely slaughtered their prize US-goyim-goose just yet. There's much more bloodletting in the future before the final death blow, which is a few decades away. If you want a vision of the future for America, look to the muddied state of California.

It COULD slip at any time , who knows ? It lost 8% in the second quarter and 5% in the third , on the dollar index . That is 26% annualized declined , if the same rate continued ( which it won't ).

The US dollar is very powerfully backed , 12 carrier task forces , 10,000 nuclear weapons and two of the worlds richest countries as vassal states, Germany and Japan . Just ask Saddam Hussein , what happens when you stop accepting dollars . Oooops , you can't .

Maybe the US dollar is so gigantic , that like a giant ship shinking it will pull everything with it , in its undertow .

That's making the grand assumption that the precious metal markets aren't manipulated .

Of course the metals markets are manipulated, just like the PPT carries the stock markets. jews are involved, that's all we need to know.

The jewdollar is struggling under its own weight of smoke and mirrors that are the hallmarks of anything jewmade. Has no reality and the other nations of the world are calling Hymie's bluff.

Good riddance I say, once it does come.

That's making the grand assumption that the precious metal markets aren't manipulated .

That's a good point. Central banks do quietly sell gold periodically to keep prices down, and other powers that be have an interest in keeping gold low. There's apparently a large gold short position at the moment... can't find the link but I read it on lewrockwell or some other libertarian site.

Perhaps a better gauge would be to look at food and gas prices. These are items most people buy weekly. Let's assume BLS Fed-ZOG statistics can be trusted. Looking here, http://www.bls.gov/cpi/data.htm and checking average price data for food and fuels can give you a better idea. Oil and natural gas have dropped dramatically this past year as we know, but most food prices haven't gone back down significantly (and they ought to without inflation, because agriculture is tied up with the cost of fuels). Electricity hasn't dropped either. I expect oil and gas prices to rise back to the highs in the coming years, both due to inflation and lack of supply. Food prices and electricity probably will remain where they are until then. The general trend will be up.

Overall though, I think the sentiment of the original article is correct. The dollar isn't going to rapidly crash, but slowly devalue. The strategy for Whites is to acquire real-goods and make smart investments. Buy things like real-estate, land that can produce food if necessary, and precious metals. Invest in companies that produce commodities or have value (beware jewed companies like banks and financial sectors unless you're speculating). Best would be to start a business providing services and skills that can't easily be outsourced to Asia.

The jewdollar is struggling under its own weight of smoke and mirrors that are the hallmarks of anything jewmade. Has no reality and the other nations of the world are calling Hymie's bluff.

The currency and money system is manipulated to serve the interests of jewry, no doubt, but the market isn't all bad.

Many companies are still producing real products. GE is still making jet engines and useful hardware and selling world wide. Intel is still making faster and smaller processors and sales are up this quarter. Numerous utility companies are still providing electricity and natural gas to vast swaths of the country (utility companies are notoriously boring stocks, but provide steady growth and nice dividends). Companies like this can't really afford to be jewed, or else they end up like Enron in short order.

If the dollar does crash hard, stocks in companies like GE and Intel will rise, because they have real value, just like silver or gold. Strong companies will adjust by raising prices, and balance will be restored. Bank and finance-type stocks - the most jewed companies - they'll be the ones to suffer the most, as they did in the crash last fall. Their profits and value are built on houses of cards.

The beauty of the stock market is eventually people start calling bullshit and it doesn't take too long for the idiot masses to "get it" once the smart money starts moving. The tech boom of the late 90s only lasted a decade, tops. All those stupid companies like pets.com crashed hard once people called BS. It's like typical white kwans saying they love living around niggers on the TV cameras but then packing up their families and white-flighting to the suburbs. Actions v. words.

Zimababwe bears you out. As their money crashed, their stock market performed very well.

Mike Whitney's later draft of the same article (or a new short article) is drawing some heat at ICH:

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article23771.htm

The notion that the dollar will crash, has become an article of faith among doomsayers, Libertarians, survivalists, leftists and goldbugs. (I'm as guilty as anyone) But is the theory supported by the facts?

First of all, "crash" is an ambiguous term. I take it to mean a plunge in the value of the currency to a hyper-inflationary range. What we are seeing now, however, is the Fed managing the value of the dollar downward to increase exports and reduce the real value of household and financial sector debt. That is not a crash; it is a planned demolition with the intention of improving the US's position vis a vis its main trading partners. It is a type of currency warfare which is making the dollar more competitive at the expense of people who save. It's exactly what Bernanke wants.

Whitney has been participating at the holoscan forum, which drew some interesting remarks:

From Mike Whitney:

"I don't consider myself a China expert, but China is definitely following US policymakers advice on dealing with the financial crisis and the "demand shock" (using Keyensian stimulus) It has created an unsustainable bubble that will soon burst. China cannot maintain growth without the US consumer, and the US consumer is headed for the morgue. It's also going to be harder to sell Chinese widgets to the EU now that the euro in $1.50 per dollar and Germany's export-model is shot-to-hell.

There is no short-term replacement for the US consumer. The world is headed into a long-term slowdown (whether we see a few quarters of positive growth or not)

The basic problem is, too much money is going upwards to the top 1%, so workers cannot create sufficient demand to increase capacity. That is why the dollar will strengthen... because the amount of credit destruction exceeds the increases to the money supply (including Bernanke's printing operations (quantitative easing)

Unemployment, foreclosures, bankruptcies, defaults are all highly deflationary which means that the true value of debt is increasing. Without an uptick in jobs and wage-growth, the stock market will sputter, earnings will tumble, and the economy will slide into a black hole.

But the dollar will be stronger!

From M. Kumar:

...But your article on October 19th 2009 titled “The Dollar will NOT crash,” made all of us in this part of the world who respected your views and opinions feel disturbed and appalled.

Then my friend explicated and reminded me, “From the time of Chaim Weizmann’s solicitous and guile behaviour towards the politicians, the media and the newspersons, the powerful Zionists lobby had perfected the art of falsity and misrepresentation.

Mike Whitney is also a human being. QED.

Quod Erat Demonstrandum

I understand the difference regarding the dollar being a reserve currency but... I don't know...

something just doesn't add up. I can't quite figure out what it is.
How long will it take for the US to actually produce things and sell them, and sell'em big as China does?

From Mike Whitney again:

Thanks, Kumar. So, now I am also a tool of the Zionist lobby planting propaganda in the minds of vulnerable ICH readers?

Hello??? Can anyone see how loony this is?

I need a beer.

From Ronin:

Mike, you need vacations. Take a break, go to an Island in the tropic and relax. Forget about the world for a month and you will see that you will come back with a clearer view of reality.

Don't commit journalist suicide. People are making fun of you all over the place...

And so on...

That's interesting and something I didn't know. Economics isn't a precise science, but in a lot of cases it can be just a matter of thinking about cause and effect. Pumping more money into the economy just means prices will rise on things that have value. If a person wants to "get" economics he needs to banish the notion from his head that money is somehow special and start to see it as just another tradeable commodity with a value determined by society.

I'm actually surprised about stocks in Zimbabwe rising even with the massive hyperinflation. I wouldn't value stocks there very much even if they were in productive companies, since any company operating under Mugabe could be subject to state seizure without warning. It's not a safe investing environment, and capital flees environments unfriendly to it.

the deficit this year is 1.5 trillion. the DEFICIT, not the debt. the Government is spending 1.5 TRILLION more than it's taking in in taxes.

the clinton years were the best years economicly in the country's history.

You really don't understand money at all, do you?

Watch the two videos in my signature "Swindling the Goyim." Once you understand that the whole system is based on fraud, then you will begin to understand that hanging the Jew bankers is the first necessary step.

The money system is set up by Jews like a python, slowing squeezing its prey. The inevitable result is death of the prey and a fat python. With the Jew banking system, the inevitable result is death of the nation and a lot of fat Jews.
