Al Qassam website - The former prisoner Abdel Nasser Farawana, researcher on prisoners' affairs, said that the sum of the years the old prisoners had spent behind bars exceeded 5923 years.
The former prisoners are those who were arrested before 1994; they are 320 prisoners and make up only 4 percent of the total prisoners.
Farawana said that these 'prisoners' suffer multiple times mare than others, since the lowest one of whom spent more than 16 years, the oldest nearly 32 years, while held in conditions which are probably the worst of prisons in the world.
He stressed that the health conditions of prisoners are deteriorating for long years.
The human rights activist, appealed to the international community and human rights associations to follow up the prisoners and work for their release from the Zionist jails.
