The seventh Human Rights Film Festival is taking place from 7 to 13 December at Zagreb’s "Kino Europa" and at Rijeka’s "Art-kino Croatia."
This year’s edition of the festival features 20 films and is dedicated to the struggle for social rights.
The Festival will open with "The Encounter", a documentary by Croatian director Igor Bezinovic, and the feature-length movie "White Material" by Claire Denis.
The Encounter depicts an encounter between farmers and students during this year’s farmers’ protest in Zagreb, and White Material portrays the lives and decay of a family of French colonizers in an African country afflicted by civil war.
The exhibition "Right to the City" will be held from 9 to 12 December at Zagreb’s Galerija Nova.
The entrance to all events and screenings is free of charge.
