Al Qassam Website - Militias loyal to Mahmoud Abbas, the PA chief whose term in office expired last January, rounded up more than seven Hamas supporters in various West Bank districts in an unprecedented campaign of arrests to foil any possible celebration of Hamas's 22nd inception anniversary.
The Umama website of Hamas in the West Bank said in a statement on Monday that many of those detained or summoned were former prisoners in Zionist occupation jails or were previously kidnapped by those militias.
The forces detained Reyad Abed Al Kareem, the vice president of An-Najah University in Tullkarem, in Tubas; they detained Bilal and Mohammed Abed Al Azeez Basharat.
In Hebron, the militia detained Akram Al Regbi, Yasser Abed Al Majeed from Bethlehem, Mohammed Sameeh Hija and Nafeth Ahmed Seef from Nablus, Ammar Sufyan from Tullkarem,
In the previous days, Abbas's militias roamed the West Bank streets overnight Sunday to prevent any attempt to write slogans on the walls on the occasion of Hamas's inception anniversary.
